Effective March 28, 2007:

Anyone entering the library with a book donation of more than one cardboard box or two shopping bags of books may not leave the books at the library. The individual must leave their name and phone number with the library staff, to be passed on to the Friends' President. The Friends will then coordinate a time for the books to be delivered or picked up, so that they may be inspected prior to acceptance. This policy is meant to limit the amount of books that are moldy, dirty, damaged, outdated, or otherwise unfit for sale that we then need to dispose of at the Town's expense.

Effective September 2012:

We regret that we can no longer accept donations of VHS-format videotapes, as these no longer sell well.
