Below is a list of virtual programs that our patrons can participate in from home. Most are videos of programs created by our program leaders, and others are instructions on how you can complete a project from home. We will be updating this list often as new programs are created.

All Ages Programs

Take Home Craft Kits: We have created a variety of take home craft kits which include the supplies you need to make a wonderful craft from home.

People’s History of COVID-19: We are collecting your thoughts, reflections, experiences, and artwork about your life during this pandemic. We plan to collect these items and share them as part of our local history collection. People will want to know what life was like in Sunderland during this extraordinary time. You are the historian!

Mindfulness Practices from Home. We were very sad to have to cancel the Mindfulness for All Ages program series we had planned to host in April 2020. However, there are many ways you can get started practicing mindfulness at home. Please view this list for videos, websites, books, and other resources to help you relax and strengthen your mind.

Young Adult Programs

Online Pathfinder Role Playing Game – Join us online every other week for to play a Pathfinder Role Playing Game with other local teens. We use the platform Roll 20 to play online. All teens are welcome to join. Contact our Young Adult Librarian Heather at hmcguirk@cwmars.org to join.

Make Your Own Nature Journal: Contact the library to pick up the supplies you need to make your own artful nature journal, then watch the video below for instructions

Harry Potter Digital Escape Room – Created by our friends at the Peters Township Public Library (McMurray, PA).

Hogwarts is Here a fully imagined online Hogwarts! Get sorted into a house, join a club, explore the library, play games… There is a lot to do on this site!
