The Sunderland Public Library is a vital symbol and resource of the Sunderland community, and relies on donations in order to maintain many of the services we provide to our patrons. The Friends of the Sunderland Public Library, Inc., a private, non-profit charity formed to support the Sunderland Public Library, graciously accepts a variety of donations on behalf of the library. Most of the lively programs we offer, all of the technology available for our patrons to use, and many of our books and other library materials have been made possible by generous donors to the Friends of the Sunderland Public Library, Inc.

While we welcome donations for a variety of purposes, we encourage potential donors to speak to the Library Director or Friends of the Sunderland Public Library, Inc. to learn more about which projects the library is currently seeking donor assistance with. Please review our Donation Policy to learn what types of donations the library can accept and how these donations may be recognized.

Donations can also be made to the Friends’ general fund, which is used to support public programs, museum passes, and much, much more. New items may be added to the collection at the discretion of the Library Director. Please review the Materials Donation Policy before you donate. Donations to the Book Fund provide the library with vital resources and enables us to maintain our certification, which is essential to all library operations.
