Sunderland Public Library is pleased to offer a Sensory Collection for patrons to borrow or enjoy in the library. Our Sensory Collection is comprised of toys, games, learning tools, and comfort objects that provide sensory stimulation or regulation. Sensory items are particularly helpful for people on the autism spectrum, but all people can benefit from and enjoy their use.

Most of our Sensory Collection are available through Interlibrary Loan. If you are unable to visit Sunderland Public Library in person, you are able to order most of our Sensory Collection to be delivered to your local library at no cost to you. Please contact us to learn more about this service.
The Sensory Collection is available thanks to a Library Services and Technology Act Grant provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Sunderland Public Library, Inc.
